Rochester Area Attractions

The schedule for the 2026 ATOS Convention is intentionally very tight to reduce hotel visitation costs and the need for extra meals during your visit to the Rochester, NY area. George Eastman House
The George Eastman Museum is located in Rochester, New York, on the estate of George Eastman, the pioneer of popular photography and motion picture film. Founded in 1947 as an independent nonprofit institution, it is the world’s oldest photography museum and one of the oldest film archives. The museum holds unparalleled collections—encompassing several million objects—in the fields of photography, cinema, and photographic and cinematographic technology, and photographically illustrated books. The institution is also a longtime leader in film preservation and photographic conservation.

New York Museum of Transportation
The New York Museum of Transportation is a unique resource providing a wealth of historical information for students and hours of delight and education for visitors of all ages. Through our historic vehicles and photographs, trolley rides and model railroad displays, research library and gift shop, the museum’s dedicated volunteers honor our area’s transportation history, bringing it to life for today’s visitors and preserving it for the future.

The Strong National Museum of Play
Established in 1968, The Strong National Museum of Play is the only collections-based museum in the world devoted to the study and exploration of play. RIT is a creative and innovative university. A world leader in co-op. A community leveraging the power of technology, the arts, and design for the greater good.
Unique to ATOS visitors is the new music performance facility that will include a 4/21 Barton theatre organ. The building is pictured to the right.
